About the project

Earth and Water Sticker

We want them to become active promoters and defenders of responsible water usage, to initiate local campaigns

“Save the water for your future”, to analyse people’s behaviours towards water and water sources in their local communities and share them with

their partners. Also, throughout the project, we want to investigate and come up with a plan to turn our schools into water-friendly and eco-friendly

schools and make local authorities implement this common plan on several institutions in our areas, so that we can make a real difference in the

end.

Irresponsible consumption of clean water may easily lead to a crisis and chaos that would affect billions of people in the near future. Bearing this

reality in mind, we have set on a mission to change how people deal with water and we would like to change these patterns/habits, inoculating

proper attitude into the minds of today’s young generations: we want our students to turn the topic upside down and inside out, to learn about

water usage as it used to be regarded by our ancestors, and the way in which we consume it nowadays and the effects of illogical consumption

for the future of human beings.

Kupno is a small village in south-east of Poland. This is a beautiful region , very natural, where there is beautiful nature. Visiting this region, you can be close to the nature and spend active time cycling, walking in woods or meadows.

We are the Primary School in Kupno named John Paul II for students age 6-14. There are 140 students and 22 teachers. The school building is quite big and new.

We would like to join the project because it gives opportunities to learn English better in the most natural way. Our pupils can improve their communication skills and there is no doubt strong motivation to learn foreign languages.

We want to cooperate with other schools in projects because it gives our students possibility to show Polish customs and traditions that are very interesting on the other hand, they can learn cultures from different countries that help them better to understand other people, be more tolerant and open-minded and no doubt make new friends what is very important in today’s digital world. As I said, we live in a small village, so many of our students do not have the chance to meet more peers, there is also no possibility to see other countries.

In our opinion one of the best way to learn foreign language and tolerance for other culture for young people is working in international projects.

In our school students develop a variety of their interests. We have a dance team where children learn traditional Polish dances and songs. There is also the Scouts team. Students are interested in ecology, photography and sport. We often implement projects in the presentation of a little theatre, for example, fairy tales for younger or disabled children.

Scoala Gimnaziala Piscolt is located in the village of Piscolt, Satu Mare county, in the northwest of Romania.

Our school is a public organisation. The institution's general scope is to offer high quality education to young learners, with ages between three and fifteen years old. It offers education on the level of kindergarden, primary school and gymnasium. Kindergarden is optional under the age of six. Then, pupils enter the primary school which begins at age seven and lasts four years. After graduating the primary school, pupils enter gymnasium which again lasts four years.

In addition to the formal education that pupils receive in our school, we also support them in everything they need and we encourage them to follow their dreams and aspirations and we challenge them to get outside the classroom but also to think outside the box by organizing different kinds of activities (winter competitions, outdoor activities, projects, extracurricular activities).

Our students are guided by highly trained teachers who help them to achieve educational performance. The school has 34 teachers and 375 students.

Our school has four years experience in the field of European Union granted projects, by participating in two projects of this kind (Erasmus+ and Campionii Incluziunii).
